The Phillies season starts in 2 days!! Those of you who know ANYTHING about me know what a baseball nut I am. Always have been since my first game in 1976. It was at Yankee Stadium and the Yanks beat the Balimore Orioles. Carlos May his a homer for the Yanks. I still have the program. Nowadays, I am a partial season ticket holder for my beloved Phillies. I have 35 games this season including opening day. Eight of these games go to Dad who gets eight every year. Some of the others I will have to sell because of time constraints. With Deuce coming in May...my guess is that there won't be much time to go to many games this season. Next year we get a new ballpark. I am stoked!! My goal is to someday get full season tickets so I can take Elijah to a ton of games (and Deuce too).
Anyway...tomorrow is a big day. We are hoping that the sellers of our "almost" new house will sign the real estate contracts so we can finally move on trying to see our house. There have been some minor problems with them and the contracts and we hope that's behind us. There is an open house here tomorrow so we hope to get good traffic. So much going on!!
As always, I would love to hear your comments and stories of things you see in here. Send them to me, and let's dialog!

So we are SEVEN short weeks away from having a baby!! Deuce, as we call him/her, should arrive right on time in mid-May. We are excited!! One difference I notice every day between this pregnancy and the Elijah pregnancy is that I am not scared this time. I can remember staring up at the ceiling at night all the time in 1999 while Deb was pregnant with Elijah. I could not get to sleep and my heart would race like crazy. I was terrified! Here comes this little, helpless, living being. It's going to be born into this world and the only support system it will have is Deb and I. It will depend on us to survive. Man, I remember those nights. This time, however, it's completely different. I am not scared at all...just incredibly excited! Elijah is too, or so it seems. It will be interesting to see how he reacts when Deuce arrives. We have done everything we could do for him to get him prepared. He went to a sibling class, we bought him books and videos. In our minds, he is ready. We are expecting him to regress a bit. That is normal. He already shows some signs of baby talk. That's OK. I think he will be a great "big brudder" to Deuce. He is SURE that Deuce is a girl too. NO WAY this baby is a boy...in Elijah's world. Oh well...time will tell...

Hmmm....I have a new toy. BLOG. It's a word I could NEVER think up on my own. EVER. But in today's world of cyberspace jargon, who knows what word will come up next. I mean, just a few years ago, the word internet was as strange to some as BLOG is today. Maybe BLOG will someday become as common a word as love. Who knows? What can I use my BLOG for anyway? I guess I can write about what I am doing. Like right now I am sitting in my bed with my laptop connected to the net wirelessly. The lights are off by I have one of those little laptop lights so I can see the keys while I type. My wife Debbie is sleeping next to me and Tom Brokaw is talking about the war on TV. Wow....that was easy!! I did it! I typed my first entry into my very own BLOG! OK....um....now what?
